And so the day begins.

The people begin to stir. They have these little boxes near their bedside that cry for their attention, non-stop, its like a baby gone wrong. The human has to raise their hand and press down on it for silence. Sometimes, it cries again after a while.

Humans recharge by lying in these chargers known to them as 'beds'. They are made for comfort, with sheets and bags of feathers or cushions laid across it. After the human inserts themselves into the charger, they cover themselves with a blanket, and the thickness of this blanket varies according to the temperature. Despite the charger being one of the most comfortable places in the human world, humans only spend a third of their time in bed, unless they are have a hardware issue. Of course, there are a bunch of humans without proper chargers but they all recharge in some sort of inclined position.

Once the human gets up, they might consume a beverage. Some consume solid items. Then they leave their house for work.

In a country called Singapore, a lot of human beings travel in vehicle called the mrt. The mrt is a collection of a few long oblong container that moves at about 60km/h. Because of the nature of the vehicle, it can only travel to places with tracks, and hence the majority need yet other vehicles such as buses or even their own two legs in order to get to their true destinations. Each container could fit about 200 people. The human beings are charged for this limited service using a swipe-card system. On the train, the human beings are crammed into very close proximity. The majority of these focus their attention on their devices, known as smart phones and tablets, in an effort to elude their sordid circumstances. The ride is usually demoralizing for most. Nobody ever smiles on the train. It reduces their charge significantly.

Humans spend the remaining two thirds of their day at work. Within this time they also eat. Some, with more energy, may participate in meetings with other human beings where they sit and talk together about whatever keeps them occupied for that time.

Then the cycle begins again as the human being returns home to recharge. Sometimes the journey home is similar to the journey to work- the same crowded train, the same escape to their devices, the same demoralization.

This is one of the world's most advanced human beings.
