But lo and behold, here comes the exception.
Hardly studying, studying hard.
I really feel for any teacher of english, I do. I can imagine all the piercing glares, the cruel indignation that they must be at the receiving end of because of all the exceptions in english. Picture Big Boy Doc, gangster leader with fist clenched, muscles bulging, straining to learn english because otherwise he won't be allowed to play basketball, hissing through gritted teeth, 'I thought you said...'
sing-a-long (think paramore): You are, the only exception.
But in english, no. You- and you and you and you and you...heck lets make it 'we'- are, the only exceptions. WE are the only exceptions.
